WPS Horti Systems continuously seeks for automation solutions in order to produce potted plants more efficiently. A lot of processes in greenhouses are not yet fully automatic. Processes to control the quality of produced products, occur to be the bottleneck and have been too complicated to automate up till now.

In the nearer future, robotics will be used at WPS to develop efficient and sustainable solutions. Principle is to combine multiple handlings and develop multi-purpose applications made by robotics. For instance packing potted plants, where labeling of the pot or tray for multiple potsizes can be done fully automatic. But also mixing plants to get the right specs of an order.
A first draft with opportunities and ideas is being developed at the time. This concept will be tested on technical and commercial feasibility, as well as return on investment. After this a test configuration will be built, to test feasibility and return on investment again.
